Writing courses are offered twice a year by UBC - Point Grey Campus. They are free to low-income residents of the East Side and South Side downtown Vancouver.They request that we let everyone know so this is how we do it here. Below is the original bulk email.
In
Writing 101 and 201, each week a new genre of writing will be discussed
and
practiced. These include, creative fiction and non-fiction, songs and
lyrics, screenplay, short stories, life writing, poetry, journaling and
manifesto writing.
The
Writing course runs from January to April 2016. All classes are held at
UBC Point Grey Campus on Tuesday evenings, from 6.30 – 9 p.m.
Participants
receive school supplies, UBC student cards, bus tickets to get to and
from class, meal vouchers to use on campus, and childcare if needed.
Applications are available at the following times and places:
Carnegie Centre, Main and Hastings St.
